PRMSI PIPA Standard Edition incurs a relatively low cost by using the standard editions of Microsoft BizTalk Server and SQL Server. Two virtual machines are always deployed, one each for these products. Optionally, two further virtual machines may be deployed for primary and backup domain controllers.
Initially, PRMSI PIPA on Azure can be accessed over the internet via the PRMSI PIPA XML Client. The XML Client is a Windows® application that sends XML messages to PRMSI PIPA and provides a demonstration. For each demonstration step, the XML Client provides scripts that explain what to do in Microsoft Dynamics GP after the XML messages have been sent.
A Microsoft Dynamics GP® installation on Azure can be accessed over the internet via its web client.
PRMSI PIPA on Azure can connect to an on premises Microsoft Dynamics GP installation using an Azure service bus.
